Bath time with rubber ducky and bubbles is fun time for baby, but without constant adult supervision it can lead to tragedy. Never leave your baby unattended in the bathroom. Babies can drown in less than three inches of water. According to the National Safety Council, 80% of home accidents occur in the bathroom, making this the most dangerous room in the house.
At Safer Kids and Homes, we offer solutions to make bath time safe and more comfortable for both you and your baby.
Bath safety tips:
- Keep doors to bathrooms closed and latched
- Never leave standing water in the bathtub, in buckets or in wading pools
- Never leave your baby alone in the tub, even for a few seconds
- Before you fill the tub, get all the supplies you will need to keep close at hand
- Lower your hot water heater temperature to a maximum of 120 degrees Fahrenheit
